SHIPLAP CLADDING
Produced from English grown Western Red Cedar, Larch and Douglas fir, our kiln-dried shiplap cladding is also made here at our sawmill in Dorset and is supplied with a planed finish. With a square rebate on one side and a beautiful sloping curve on the other, when joined together Shiplap cladding gives a 90 degree step down into a smooth, curved-on-one side channel.
Shiplap cladding produces a slightly softer channel than our shadow gap cladding whilst still giving a modern, contemporary look. Installed horizontally it is popular for cladding exterior walls, outdoor seating areas & kitchens, as well as many other garden structures.
Larch and Cedar cladding can be left to silver naturally with age.
Douglas fir, Larch and Cedar cladding can also be painted or stained to produce a more durable external cladding, treated with UV oil to enhance the natural colour of the timber or treated with fire retardants to comply with any necessary building regulations.
When installing we recommend the use of stainless steel fixings.
